Virtual reality is the next revolutionary thing in the field of technology, and Microsoft is one of the companies that invest to be the pioneers of new technologies. So it is logical that the company begins work on the introduction of support for the WebVR browser Edge.

The company explains that the new project has just begun and it will take some time until users get ready function. Most likely, insiders are the first to get access to the support WebVR when it’s ready for testing. The final version will be part of the update Redstone 2 and will be released in the spring of 2017.

WebVR is based on javascript API and already implemented in some builds of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. It is obvious that Microsoft wants to lose their position in the race with rivals and to bring the same support in the browser Edge.
