The Germans began testing an early “mule” model GLB.
In a publication Motor1 were spy shots of a prototype of a compact crossover Mercedes-Benz. Presumably, in the body of the model GLA German brand trial run units of the future model GLB, the possible occurrence of which was reported back in 2014.
From the serial GLA prototype features larger wheel arches. In addition, the “mule” was a different rear bumper — without decorative trims on the exhaust pipes.
The project carries a factory index X247. As reported earlier about the GLB, the new product will combine the expanse of the B-Class, GLA dynamics and stylistic elements of the SUV G-Class. Likely, the model will retain the dimensions of GLA or slightly exceed them, but in her look there will be more faces. It can occur that a seven-seat version.
The novelty will be built on a modular MFA platform, which underpins the A-Class, CLA and GLA. These new models will share the engine range, which includes petrol and diesel “four” power from 90 to 218 horsepower. Subsequently, may receive and “charged” AMG-version with 381-horsepower engine.
