Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev instructed the Ministry of labour jointly with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of economic development until September 1 to submit proposals for the phased increase by 2020 the minimum wage to the subsistence minimum.
“The Ministry of labour (Maxim Topilin), the Ministry of Finance (Anton Siluanov), the Ministry of economic development of Russia (A. V. Ulyukayev) to submit, by 1 September 2016 the agreed proposals to the government for the phased achievement of the 2020 minimum wage to the subsistence minimum working age population taking into account the decision to increase from 1 July 2016 the minimum wage to 7,500 rubles, and also to maintain this relationship in future”, – RIA “news” the press-service of the Cabinet.
Instruction is given at the forum “best social policy: new solutions”, which took place March 25, 2016 in St. Petersburg.
25 March, Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev at the forum “United Russia” instructed the state Duma to prepare and adopt the draft law that the minimum wage in the country from 1 July will be increased by 20% – to 7,5 thousand roubles.
Minimum wage as of 1 January 2016 has increased to 6 204 thousand rubles. The labour Ministry proposed to set the minimum wage as of 1 January 2016 for the level 7 189 thousand rubles.
