Media: Banks want to have access to the credit histories of citizens without their consent

СМИ: Банки хотят иметь доступ к кредитным историям граждан без их согласия

The banking community under the auspices of the Association “Russia” sent a letter to the Bank asking to cancel the mandatory consent of citizens to request in Bureau of credit stories (BKI), writes “Kommersant”.

This initiative involves the amendment of the law “On credit histories” so that banks could request a credit history of citizens without their consent.

“It is logical that information about the borrower’s credit history was disclosed at the time of applying for the loan,” — said the Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Mikhail Sukhov, noting that the regulator may consider the initiative, however, expects the banking community weighty arguments.

As writes the edition, the authors of the letter also ask the Central Bank to make the consent of the citizen perpetual.
