The solvent losses of Ukrainian banks on may 1, 2016 amounted to 11.5 billion UAH, or $ 453 million. This 16.6 per cent below the figure for the same period last year. On Tuesday, may 24, UNIAN reports, citing data of the national Bank (NBU).
In April, 25 banks have decreased for a total amount of 4.7 billion UAH (187,3 million dollars), while 72 percent of the losses in one credit institution.
With the profit from the beginning of the year worked 75 banks, the total amount was 3.6 billion hryvnia (143,45 million dollars). In April, a profit of UAH 1.7 billion (67.7 million dollars) the Bank has received 84.
According to the regulator, the banking system of Ukraine without regard to insolvent credit institutions in 2015 has received a record loss at 66 billion ($2.6 million).
By NBU estimates, the growth of losses at the end of 2015 due to the transition of banks to international accounting standards from 1 December, in connection with which financial institutions have adjusted interest income.
