The Georgian interior Ministry opened a criminal case against the organizers of the concert of Gregory Leps in Tbilisi

They are suspected in the illegal imprisonment of a journalist. The investigation began after the statements of the journalist of TV company “Maestro” Nini Metreveli, which States that the protection of the artist locked her together with the operator in the room, not letting go.
According to the correspondent, it happened after she asked the actor about his relationship to politics of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The case was initiated under article 143 of the criminal code of Georgia (illegal imprisonment).
As told Metreveli, producers Leps forbade her to ask questions on a political topic, however, on the basis of high public interest,” she did not listen to them.
“The question was: does the singer of Putin’s policies. This has caused dissatisfaction on the part of the producer of Leps. Without any explanation we were taken to their room, closed with the guard, was verbal abuse, I was called stupid journalist”, – quotes the words of the victim “Georgia Online”.
An employee of the TV company “Maestro” claims that “security was not allowed to enter” 75 minutes. “I was told that all happened just because of this issue, and I kept repeating that this material not be broadcast,” Metreveli added.

On the website “Maestro” published video with the question of the journalist (it starts at 3:35), to which Leps responded in the affirmative. “Of course,” said the singer, adding that it is not confused by the negative reaction of Georgian citizens in his opinion. Leps (real name Lepsveridze) also stated that he feels as a Georgian, though I have not been in this country. “I have not been, but I Georgians,” he said. Producer of Leps Lela, Aslanikashvili reported that the singer and the organizers were satisfied with the concert, as the hall was full. As for the “Maestro”, according to her, the broadcaster just wanted to make a scene.
Last week, the Russian singer was among the candidates for the black list of artists who may be denied entry to the territory of Ukraine.
Similar measures are expected to relate to Valeria, Nikita Mikhalkov, Mikhail Boyarsky, Oleg Gazmanov, Nadezhda Babkina, Ilya Reznik, Leonid Yarmolnik, Nicholas Rastorguev and Sergei Bezrukov.
Apparently, the list also get Michael Porechenkov, Iosif Kobzon, Ivan Okhlobystin, his wife, the actress Oksana Okhlobystin (Arbuzov), Mikhail Zadornov and Vika Tsyganova. Kiev claims that they have all supported the Kremlin’s position on Ukraine.
