Italy has allowed same-sex unions

In Italy the lower house of Parliament approved a bill on legalization in the country of same-sex unions.

It is noted that the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi passed the bill on a vote by linking its adoption with the question of confidence in the Cabinet. Thus, if the deputies did not approve the bill, Renzi was forced to leave his post.

It is also reported that before the adoption of the draft law by the Italian Senate, he was expelled from the provision on the right of same-sex couples to adopt children. In this regard, members of the LGBT community, Italy stated that this bill is “treacherous”.

It is worth noting that Italy remains the only major countries of Europe, which is still not resolved nor same-sex civil unions nor gay marriage. However, in some municipalities of the country gay unions allowed by local law, but evidence at the national level, they are not.
