Iraq assured that it will participate in the negotiations of the petroleum exporting

Ирак заверил, что примет участие в переговорах экспортеров нефти

Iraq, second largest oil producer in OPEC, will take part in the informal meeting of countries exporting to Algeria from 26 to 28 September. This was stated by Deputy oil Minister Fayyad Nimes.

According to him, the meeting will be attended by the Minister of oil of Iraq Jabbar al-Laibi and the head of the state oil marketing company. The Deputy Minister stressed that Iraq stands for the support of fair prices, reports TASS.

Meanwhile, on the eve of Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi noted that Iraq is currently skeptical of the idea of limiting the level of oil production to stabilize prices for these raw materials on the world market.

“Baghdad welcomes the proposal to impose an upper limit on crude oil production because Iraq has not produced as much (oil) as you need,” — said the head of government. The Prime Minister said that his country has not yet regained its share in the global oil market.

September 26-28, Algeria will host the international energy forum, in which, as was reported, the countries-exporters of oil can conduct negotiations on the “frozen” production. The initiators of the discussion are Venezuela, Ecuador and Kuwait.
