International organization for migration (IOM) presented data showing that around the world this year killed at least 3694 refugees. About it reports DW with reference to the report of the international organization.
As writes the edition, according to the representative of IOM, in the past year the number of refugees killed on the way to Europe was lower by 18 percent. The majority of migrants have drowned or gone missing attempting to swim from Africa to Italy through the Mediterranean sea: the death toll in this area is about 2,500. According to the organization in Europe since the beginning of the year the sea there arrived more than 150 thousand refugees, says the publication.
