In a temporary settlement on the North of the Baikal-Amur mainline burned 17 houses, according to the website EMERCOM of Russia in Buryatia.
The fire broke out on Friday evening, 3 June, in one of the wooden houses, presumably because of careless handling of fire unknown persons. the Fire for a few minutes because of the strong wind and dry weather spread to the neighboring houses.
To extinguish the fire attracted more than 100 people and 10 pieces of equipment. To eliminate fire in the North came two fire trains. Was sent to the aviation of EMERCOM of Russia — the amphibian БЕ200 and helicopter MI-8 with overflow device. The plane EMERCOM of Russia an-74 to the scene delivered emergency operations group and the required load.
RIA Novosti, citing Ministry of emergency situations reports that the spread of the fire stopped. “From the destruction of fire managed to defend the main part of the village of 63 houses and setobject — rural house of culture”, — reports the Agency.
Residents, only 262 people have been evacuated, their life is not in danger. According to the village administration, 43 people were left homeless.
