Sudanese military plane An-26 crashed on Saturday in the state of North Kordofan. Killing all five people aboard.
The plane crashed while landing at the airport in El Obeid for “technical reasons”. “The plane is destroyed, all five crew members were killed,” the statement says.
Military transport aircraft An-26 used by the Sudanese army in operations against the representatives of “National movement for the liberation of Sudan – North”, which since 2011 have been fighting in the southern States of South Kordofan and Blue Nile, as well as in the fighting in the Western Darfur region.

An-26 created by the Antonov design Bureau in the second half of the 1960s. It was a cargo version of a passenger plane An-24.
