The first part of Tomb Raider was released in 1996 for PC, PlayStation 1 and Sega Saturn.
At the moment the series Tomb Raider has 11 games. The creators of the series decided to recall how it all began, and published on the official YouTube channel a video showing an early version of the first part.
“I would like to show you alpha version of the first part of Tomb Raider. It’s not really a level, rather, the Assembly of several caves and abysses, which are later used as textures for level of Vilcabamba. At the moment it is impossible to interrogate the witnesses, but legends say that the developers made this version to represent the producers of the ability of the game engine,” said the author of the uploaded video.

In the alpha version implemented the possibility to target two different enemies with both guns that were not presented in the final version of the first part”.

Also Lara in the alpha version is not able to jump on the spot, instead she bends her knees and leaps forward in the style of “the Matrix”.
