Resolution is only a recommendation.
The lower house of the French Parliament (national Assembly) voted for a resolution calling on the government to advocate for the lifting of economic sanctions against the Kremlin regime imposed by the West in response to the aggression against Ukraine.
It is noted that only the National Assembly consists of 577 deputies.
The draft resolution to the vote suggested that the Deputy Thierry Mariani, who is the co-chair of the Association Franco-Russian dialogue.
In July 2015, he headed the delegation of French parliamentarians called for illegally occupied by Russia Crimea.
At the same time this resolution is a recommendation and does not oblige the authorities to take concrete action.
