In Kaliningrad at the site of the amber Museum on June 24, open all-Russian contest of author’s lapidary and jewelry arts, which this year will be the third time, it will be attended by masters from fourteen Russian cities. This was told by Irina Klimovich – the press-Secretary of the Museum.
According to Irina Klimovich, the Grand Prix will fight 140 artists who are on display viewers and the professional jury will present more than 450 works of stone-cutting and jewelry art.
This year the contest is dedicated to the 170 anniversary since the birth of the worldwide famous jeweler Carl Faberge. Thus, artists will pay tribute to the creative heritage of masters of the firm “Faberge”, and also will support the Russian tradition of hardstone carving and jewelry.
The competition will determine the winners in five nominations – “the Best work of amber”, “My Russia”, “national ornament”, “Metaphor” and “Artistic heritage”. To evaluate the work of masters will be an expert jury headed by Gennady Lentsovym who is a member of the Union of artists of Russia and Moscow Union of artists.
According to tradition, will be published in the catalogue of the works participating in this year’s competition, as well as seminars on the topic of lapidary and jewelry arts
