Counterfeiters do not disdain and Chinese yuan, Kazakhstani tenge
In Russia in December 2015 has increased dramatically the number of fake dollars and euros. Only one month revealed 468 phony bills, while the average in the quarter are 800 fakes. It is reported by the Central Bank on Thursday, 4 February.

Only from October to December last year found 939 counterfeit currency. The leader among the “foreigners” became the U.S. dollar in the fourth quarter of the examination revealed 788 notes, for the year – 2 932 pieces. “Fake euros on average detected much less frequently, 41-46 pieces per quarter, but in the last three months of last year was characterized by a sharp increase in the number of found counterfeit European currency – 136 pieces”, – stated in the message of the Central Bank.
The controller informs that in 2015 the revealed forgery of Chinese yuan found fake Britain pounds, Swedish Krona, Japanese yen and the Kazakhstan tenge.
Meanwhile, the number of fake rubles in the fourth quarter fell to its yearly low. In the banking system, found 16 536 counterfeit currency (minus 1 622 pieces compared to the third quarter). Most traditionally fake 5-thousandths bills (11 188 notes), in second place – thousand notes (4 361). Got the regulator and 3 fake ten coins and one bill (the fourth quarter).
Do not disdain the counterfeiters 5-ruble coins, they found 142 pieces for the entire year.
Just in 2015 there are about 72 thousand counterfeit rubles. Fakes withdrawn from circulation and are transferred to the bodies of internal Affairs.
According to the Central Bank, the most popular region for sales of counterfeit currency remains the Central Federal district, followed traditionally follows the North-Western region.
As a reminder, article 186 of the Criminal code of Russia provides for punishment for counterfeiting money, in the form of forced labor up to 5 years or deprivation of liberty (up to 8 years) and fine of up to 1 million rubles. Counterfeiting on a large scale is punishable by imprisonment for a term up to 12 years with the penalty to 1 million roubles. If the crime was committed by an organized group, the term of imprisonment increases to 15 years (the penalty remains the same).
