In the London underground appeared posters with a quote from the novel “Fathers and sons” Russian classic Ivan Turgenev. It is reported by one of the users of Facebook. “Aristocratism, liberalism, progress, principles… and useless words! Russian, they do not need”, – stated in the advertisement, written in English.
The original quote is: “Aristocratism, liberalism, progress, principles – was saying the Souks – just think, how many foreign… and useless words! The Russian people they do not need a gift”.
Note, the novel “Fathers and sons” was published in 1862.
