In the London underground appeared posters with a quote from the novel “Fathers and sons” Russian classic Ivan Turgenev. On Friday, June 3, according to one of the users of Facebook.

“Aristocratism, liberalism, progress, principles… and useless words! Russian, they do not need”, — stated in advertising.

While the original quote is: “Aristocratism, liberalism, progress, principles — was saying the Souks — just think, how many foreign… and useless words! The Russian people they do not need a gift”.

Yevgeny Bazarov — a character in a novel by Ivan Turgenev “Fathers and children”. Being student-nihilist, he denies virtually all the socially accepted values and traditional values. Bazarov protests against the liberal ideas of the nobility Kirsanovich and conservative views of their parents.

“Fathers and sons” was published in 1862.
