In Italy the police arrested one of the biggest mafia Antonio Pelle.
Pelle is one of the leaders of a criminal network of Ndrangheta, which is behind the many crimes in the Calabria region and is also suspected of funding political parties.
According to Reuters, the pellet, was found hiding in an alcove behind the cupboard in the secret of the room of his house.
54-year-old Pelle is one of the most dangerous criminals in Italy. He faces 20-year sentence for drug trafficking, arms smuggling, and for leadership in a major mafia clan.
As noted, Pelle has been more than five years to hide from the police.
According to the Italian Agency ANSA, Pelle Pelle heads the group-Vottari, which was involved in several serious crimes including brutal murder of six Italians, who belonged to the rival clan of Nirt-of Strandja, in the German city of Duisburg in August 2007.
Note that in 2008, Pella had already been arrested and even sent to prison, but in 2011 he ran away from there.
Media noted that over the past 20 years, the mafia of Calabria became the most influential and well-organized group, which is Europe’s largest supplier of cocaine from South America.
Local media also write that the Ndrangheta is trying to influence Italian politics.
