The owner of an Indian restaurant in North Yorkshire was sentenced to six years in prison for the manslaughter of the visitor who suffered from an Allergy to nuts.

38-year-old Paul Wilson died from anaphylactic shock in January 2014, after he had cooked at the restaurant Indian dish Tikka masala, which contained nuts.

The court found the restaurant’s owner, 52-year-old Mohammed Zaman, guilty of manslaughter.
