Hotel complex “Watergate” in Washington, around which in the 1970s sparked the biggest political scandal of the United States, which ended in the resignation of President Richard Nixon, opened its doors to guests after which lasted for nine years. It is reported portal Travel Daily Media.
Work on updating the hotel began in 2007, just repair it spent $ 125 million. Now “Watergate” has a Spa center, a modern dance room and a relaxation area on the roof with views of Capitol hill and the Washington monument.
Workers repaired all 336 rooms, restaurant, bar and public spaces of the hotel.
The hotel “Watergate” first opened in 1967. In 1972, a few months before the presidential election, located in the hotel headquarters of the Democratic party of the United States were detained five people.
