How urgently we need to restore relations with Turkey?

About 60% of Russians suggest not to rush to restore relations with Turkey

About 60% of Russians believe that we should not hurry with the resumption of Russian-Turkish relations: in their view, has no conditions for rapprochement with Turkey. About it reports Fund “Public opinion”, July 18, reports “Interfax”.

Two thirds of Russians (67%) know about the message of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the President of the Russian Federation,

One in four (24%) “heard something” about the message. One in ten (9%) learned about it for the first time in the survey conducted on 10 July among 1,500 respondents in 104 settlements of the 53 subjects of the Russian Federation.

Meanwhile, less than a third of respondents believe that the Russian authorities must now take the course for a speedy restoration of good-neighborly partnership relations with Turkey (27%). Undecided 13%.

According to half of respondents (55%), in the restoration of Russian-Turkish cooperation to a greater extent interested Turkey.

8% believe that Russia is more interested and 28% believe that it is necessary to both countries in equal measure.

A clear forecast for the development of Russian-Turkish relations in the next few years respondents no: 38% believe that a serious rapprochement between Russia and Turkey will not happen, 36%, on the contrary, I believe that they will become good-neighborly partnership, 26% were undecided.
