New Civic Type R can accelerate from zero to hundred kilometers per hour in about five seconds.
The novelty will be equipped with an upgraded version of the current two-liter “turboservice”. The engine will develop 345 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque — 35 strength and 50 Nm more than the two-litre motor produces a current hot hatch. The model will retain the front-wheel drive and six-speed manual transmission.
It is expected that the new Civic Type R can accelerate from zero to hundred kilometers per hour in about five seconds — 0.7 seconds faster than its predecessor.
It is expected that the prototype of “charged” hatchback will present in the fall of 2016 at the Paris motor show, the production version of the hot hatch will debut a year later.
