Rockstar company is working on the sixth part of a series of iconic video game Grand Theft Auto.
The developers studied in Tokyo, Japan as a possible site of action game, which even was made a corresponding field trip. But the convoluted nature of the streets of the city cooled the enthusiasm for this idea, and at the moment the future location to continue unknown.
The idea of porting games to Japan was considered for a long time. So, the company Take-Two Interactive, which owns Rockstar, has registered the trademark “GTA: Tokyo”, “GTA: Bogota and GTA: sin City” in 2003.
The source also said that the development of GTA 6 has already begun. In particular, we are talking about creating a new game engine, development of which were invited to cooperate earlier.
Maybe the new engine can be used in another game from Rockstar – Red Dead Redemption 2, the output of which was recently postponed to 2017. But if the release will be on the old engine, that will support active work on a new part of GTA.
