The operating system was released to open beta testing.
Through its annual Google I/O conference, Google revealed details about the future operating system Android N released for open beta testing.
The developers managed to significantly improve the performance of the new version of Android. In particular, this was achieved through the use of a new application programming interface (API) Vulcan, thanks to which the graphics chip is able to demonstrate significantly better parameters in the tests.
Notes and the new compiler that not only will work 75% faster, but reduces the required amount of memory for installing applications.
Google has demonstrated a new approach to multi-tasking, now a limited family latest software. Also added was a button “clear all”, which allows to deactivate all active applications.
The notification system will allow to respond to messages directly from your screen. In addition, N Android will get support for Unicode 9 that appear in the new Google emojis, with more humanized design and support skin colors.
Among the most significant additions in functionality of the new operating system can be called a virtual reality – VR Mode. Smartphones now even better adapted for use in virtual reality helmets, including the new Google Daydream.
Beta test N Android is available for devices Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, 6P Nexus, Nexus Player, and Android With Pixel One. The release version of the operating system needs to see the light at the end of this summer, and by this time Android will N get a new name.
