The approval of the Board of theology VAK is the final stage of formation of the system of academic degrees in the discipline in Russia
The Ministry of education and science of Russia approved the final composition of the expert Council on theology of the Higher attestation Commission (HAC). His head is elected Yefim Pivovar, 2006 and held the post of rector RGGU, reports “Kommersant”.
The Deputy head of the Council of VAK in theology will become chair of the Department of philosophy of religion at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox University Konstantin Antonov, chief researcher at the Centre for Arab and Islamic studies, Institute of Oriental studies Taufik Ibrahim and associate Professor of educational-scientific center for biblical and Jewish studies of Russian state humanitarian University Leonid Katsis.

The WAC approved the passport of the discipline of “theology” in 2015.
