Representatives FGUP “NPO im. S. A. Lavochkin” told about the implementation of the project “Luna-glob” for the study of the natural satellite of our planet.
The program “Luna-glob” includes the study of the moon out of orbit, exploration of resources in the polar regions and the alleged landing the next lunar expeditions, and research of impacts on the moon passing corpuscular beams and electromagnetic radiation.
The machine will carry on Board instruments LIS-TV-RPM (distance learning in the infrared range of the water content in the surface layer of regolith of the moon and mineralogical composition of regolith), LAZMA-RL (direct measurements by laser mass spectrometry of chemical and isotopic composition of regolith), PML (study of the physical characteristics of the lunar dust exosphere), the ARIES-L (investigation of the interaction of the solar wind with the surface of the moon) and others.

As reported TASS with reference to the statements of the representatives of the “NPO im. S. A. Lavochkin”, now all flight hardware for the mission “Luna-glob” processed on the stands Autonomous. Working on a flying prototype of the apparatus is planned to be completed by the end of 2017.
It is planned that the station “Luna-glob” will be launched in late 2018 or early 2019 from the Baikonur cosmodrome by launch vehicle “Soyuz-2” with the upper stage “Fregat”. On the way to the moon there will be two or three corrective maneuver. The active lifetime of the device will be at least one year.
