Most of them are frustrated by the fact that the country allegedly captured security officers and the political system translates almost into a dictatorship of the intelligence services. Indeed, many of the newly minted governors, presidential envoys and heads of departments or have a connection with the power structures, or they originate from the system of the KGB. But is it so bad?
Let’s try to look at the situation from the point of view of the President.
They constantly demand that he sent to troubled regions someone responsible, honest, with leadership experience in complex environment and able to work with people. Ideally, the Governor or the Plenipotentiary of the President still needs to have the skills of a good diplomat in order to reconcile between competing or even warring elite factions.
Put yourself in the place of Putin. Who among you would look for such people? Where would you have found the talent pool who are not afraid to entrust this kind of work?
You can try to take a person from the business environment, but there is a large probability of corruption. And many businessmen tend towards people as a resource, which can lead to not very good consequences. Try to be involved in the management of some of the scientists-theorists? Thank you, tried in the 90s and, with rare exceptions, was bad.
Facebook community, of course, would be happy if the Governor appointed some blogger or political activist, but it would be a mockery of the people. Look at Ukraine, where half of Parliament is made up of such characters. We just do not need this. It turns out that the most adequate source of personnel are intelligence agencies or the community of immigrants from the security services who are already working in the state apparatus. And it’s not “cronyism” or “corporate solidarity” and basic common sense.
Some guard patriots new changes caused associations with the situation in Turkey, and they began to draw Parallels between Putin and Erdogan. This is nonsense. Putin – Erdogan, and his long and consistent work with the elites, including regional ones, to avoid those situations that fall President. And do not think that the reshuffling of the governors is a sign of nervousness of the authorities before the elections, as claimed by some liberal media. This is also nonsense. For a month none of the new Governor will not be able to change something in their region, and the instability will only hinder the party in power. On the contrary, the fact that Putin is willing to make such a drastic reshuffle before the election is the best indication that the power to the election is absolutely calm and order in the country leads in production mode.
I can not speak about the change of the Governor of Sevastopol and the Crimea in the southern Federal district. The Kremlin once again showed that he hears the regions and responds to their requests, the chief of which for the Crimean people recently have become money, and program development with Federal support, and normalization of local officials.
The Kremlin reacted to it. Now Crimean officials will be permanently embedded in the Russian power vertical, and will rate them according to Russian standards. A rather closed political system, which is lined up in the Crimea in recent years, yesterday opened and connected to the Federal. For residents of the Peninsula is a good signal, but for remaining at their posts of officials of the Republic of Crimea – this is the last warning.
Looking at the whole situation, I come to the conclusion that the only one who needs to panic after yesterday’s personnel decisions, it is the governors and other officials. They sent a very clear message:
“If you steal, you will end up as White, and if you work badly, you will be at best somewhere exiled. Candidates for your a lot of places, and they are ready to take them tomorrow”.
Echoes of the panic we see in the liberal media, but they can not pay attention. Let the water itself and on about how “FSB seized the country”. If, in order to officials have begun to work well, they need to threaten with replacement by people from the intelligence services, then it should be done. People will benefit from this.
