Experts of the company Check Point have discovered a serious vulnerability in the Android operating system that could allow an attacker to access information from storage device and also the camera and recorder.
The vulnerability, dubbed Quadrooter typical of all the products with Qualcomm chipsets, regardless of the version of the operating system. The number of devices is estimated at about 900 million.
The hacking device is through the use of malicious links, clicking on which it installs the appropriate software.
Qualcomm has already prepared the necessary patch, but it will be available to users only in a new package, monthly updates.
