In order to take advantage of the reduced rates of excise duty, must adhere to some requirements.

On Tuesday the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the bill according to which until 31 December 2018 will be substantially reduced excise tax rates on used cars.

If President Petro Poroshenko will sign the bill, the Ukrainians will be able significantly to save on the customs clearance of used cars.

The main points that you need to know for everyone who wants with the greatest benefit for themselves to take advantage of low excise duty.

Reduced rates of excise duty will not apply to vehicles of the occupants or of the aggressor countries, but also from the occupied territory of Ukraine.

The duty on cars from the European Union will be in 2016 and 9.1%. In the future, every year it will decrease until it becomes zero. In order to take advantage of the reduced rates of excise duty, must adhere to the following requirements:

– the vehicle must be issued not earlier than 1 January 2010;

– reduced “clearance” can only be used for one car throughout the year;

– if you sell “cleared” the vehicle before the expiration of one year, will have to pay excise duty at full rate.

So, the most profitable vehicles for customs clearance, taking into account all the necessary requirements, are the following brands: Peugeot 107 1.0, the final cost of which may amount to 1200 Euro less at €4050, Skoda Fabia 1,2 HTP (€5 327), Volkswagen Passat 1.8 TSI (€12 359), Peugeot 207 1,4 HDI (€5 410), Opel Zafira 1,7 CDTI (€7 862), Opel Insignia 2,8 Turbo (€17 290), Mercedes E350 (€35 456), Audi A6 2,7 TDI (€21 553).
