Every Russian, including the elderly and children, should banks 72 thousand rubles

Каждый россиянин, включая стариков и детей, должен банкам 72 тысячи рублей

IA “SeverInform” published the first rating of* debts of inhabitants of regions of Russia. It shows which regions the per capita accounts for most of loans.

The biggest debt load in the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous districts, where every inhabitant has more than 180 thousand roubles of debt. However, data for these two subjects differ.

In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in this year the population had extended loans of 6.9 billion. Debt to banks at the beginning of March exceeded $ 98 billion. Compared to the average across the country these numbers are not so great. What can be said, taking into account the number of inhabitants** — about half a million people. Take for comparison subjects with similar number of inhabitants — the Republic of Adygea, the Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the Republic of Khakassia and the Sakhalin region. The amount issued in 2016, the loans in these regions varies from 200 million to 4 billion. And the total debt in most do not exceed 35 billion rubles.

In the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous district for 2 months, were given loans by 17.7 billion rubles. That’s pretty high when you average 11 billion, and given the relatively low population is 1.6 million people. In subjects with approximately the same number of residents – for example, in the Udmurt Republic, the Belgorod and Tula regions of Russia, volume of loans at the beginning of this year, ranges from 7.5-8.5 billion — that is two times less than in Khanty-Mansiysk. And loans is in the range 90-136 billion rubles, despite the fact that in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug — 269 billion. Total debt of residents of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug exceeds 165 thousand rubles.

Based on comparative data, the first places these Autonomous regions can be explained by the extent of credits per resident.

Next in the ranking are seven regions, where debt per one resident exceeds 100 thousand rubles. Including Moscow and Moscow region, the republics of Sakha and Komi, and Nenets Autonomous Okrug. If the capital and the Moscow region the situation is clear — a high population and, as a consequence, a large volume of loans and debts on them, the rest of the actors should be rassmotret closely. For example, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. It is home to only about 44 thousand people. The volume of loans there is one of the lowest in the country — 345 million. But then again, if you take into account population size, the indicator can be considered as large. As the amount of debt — about five billion, or 122 thousand for each inhabitant. The same situation is observed in Chukotka. It is located at 15 place of our rating.

And if at first glance the presence of the leaders of the rating sparsely populated Autonomous okrugs, along with the city and the region may seem strange, but on closer examination we see that unites its inhabitants. This is a fairly high income and standard of living of the population. Some of the actors who appeared at the first lines, rich in oil, gas and other mineral resources, the capital, are other important industrial centres. For example, the average salary** residents of the Yamalo-Nenets AO in January 2016 higher than the Muscovites — 77 vs. 60 thousand rubles. In Khanty-Mansiysk it is composed of about 57 thousand.

On the last places of the ranking, the Republic of Ingushetia, Sevastopol and the Crimea. For each resident there accounts for less than 10 thousand rubles debt to the banks.

As for Russia in General, our citizens, should banks 10569 billion. On average, each citizen accounts for 72 thousand rubles of debt.

* Ranking is based on data of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation on 1.03.2016 on credits granted to natural persons-residents. Under the debt load is the ratio of the total amount existing in the region of the household debt to banks to the number of inhabitants of the region.
