Or, at least, to deport him from the United States.
Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan during a rally in Istanbul, addressed to President Barack Obama urging him to grant the opposition Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen, whom Ankara considers the organizer of the military coup in the country.
“I appeal to the United States. I turn to their leader. I asked you to deport or extradite us who is in Pennsylvania, but never received a response. Now I call to extradite him to Turkey. If we are strategic partners, follow our request. Because we gave terrorists, which you asked for. Now give us someone who is on our list of terrorists,” – said Erdogan.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of state John Kerry said that the United States has not received extradition request of the preacher Fethullah Gulen, however, prepared to consider this request if Ankara proves his guilt.
As reported, the Turkish court issued a warrant for the arrest of Fethullah Gulen – a political opponent of Erdogan.
President Erdogan accuses Gulen in seeking to overthrow him, using supporters, including in the press.

According to experts, the issuance of warrants is a step largely symbolic, since the United States is clearly not going to extradite Gulen of Turkey.
