Dutch photojournalist killed in Libya at the hands of a sniper IG

A journalist from the Netherlands was killed while covering fighting in the city of Sirte in Northern Libya.

Collision vs IDIL resumed in Sirte on Sunday.

Dutch photojournalist was killed in the Libyan city of Sirte on Sunday, 2 October.

His death was confirmed by the administration of the Central hospitals in the city.

The journalist was killed by ISIS sniper shot in the chest.

Jeroen Oerlemans worked for the daily Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant.

Collision against the remnants of the group IDIL resumed in Sirte on Sunday. The Libyan air force carried out six air strikes to pave the way for advancing infantry.
