Collected the funds necessary to buy the driver Bashir Pliyev new minivan instead of the burnt in the attack by gunmen on a group of journalists and human rights defenders in Ingushetia. This was reported on sitecompany fundraising.
The initiators of the collection of money was organized by the Union of journalists and an initiative group. From 16 to 21 March collected more than 1.5 million rubles. The action was attended by 1624 people.
“The burnt car was the only source of income Bashir Pliev. He has three children, and he’s crippled and can’t get any other work. Consumer credit, the proceeds of which he purchased a bus, he still had not paid,” — said on the campaign page the “find the bus”.
It was noted that as a result of the attack Pliev had suffered more strongly the others — he had a concussion, fractures to arms, legs and ribs.
Pliev was sitting behind the wheel of the microbus 9 March a group of journalists and human rights defenders went to Grozny. On the border of Ingushetia and Chechnya a bus was attacked by a group of unknown men in medical masks, they smashed all the Windows,beat up the passengers wooden sticks, robbed, and burned a van. As a result eight people were injured, four of them, including journalists from Sweden and Norway, were hospitalized.
