CB: about 18% of Russians believe in the imminent improvement of their financial situation

In August, nearly 18% of Russians who participated in the survey of the Central Bank, said that in the next 12 months financial situation of their families will improve – this is the maximum since June 2014.

The Central Bank of Russia has published the data of the survey made “old,” about the expectations of people in the country in terms of inflation, our income and the exchange rate.

According to the survey, the Russians hope for slowing inflation and growth in own revenues. They are less worried about rising prices for food, but worried about the recently increased utility bills.

It is noted that waking up seems to be optimism does not prevent the Russians to continue to save.

Only 14% of respondents believe that in the next month prices will rise very much – this is the lowest since may 2015. A large part of them expect moderate growth of prices. In fact, more than half of those surveyed by the Central Bank is not expected inflation in the next 12 months.

The decline in inflation expectations has led to improved assessment by Russians of their own income. But most of the respondents still believe that last year their revenues are not growing – unlike prices.

This view is held by 63% of respondents, however, as emphasized in the CBA, the minimum value over the past two years.

Despite the improvement in sentiment, half of the respondents said that they had to abandon the planned spending. The Russians save on holiday, the repair of housing and treatment.

Of food by reducing often get meat, poultry and fish.

Russians are not willing to take out loans, and money most is trying to keep ruble. The share of those who expect strengthening of the Russian currency, is reduced.
