At women of Cambodia after 50 years begins a new life
Reaching 50 years of cambogia cut their hair. This is due to religious beliefs: women are on track to attain the highest level in Buddhism. They have a lot of children
The usual case is considered, when the family brought five or six children. By Cambodian standards it’s not large, and the average family in the Northern villages you can meet the family and with seven to eight kids.
Their children swim to school by boat
In Cambodia there are several villages located directly on the water, and the only means of transportation in such places are boats. The houses here are built on high wooden stilts, as the water particularly in the rainy season rises to 5-6 m.
They load and transport to failure
Any vehicle, whether a motorbike or a truck is loaded so that the dimensions be doubled, or even tripled. This is due to the underdevelopment of transport in the country and the low standard of living: much cheaper to move the maximum amount of cargo in one go than to break it into two parts.
They go to the market on a moped
People come to the market on two-wheeled transport and travel so directly on the market, stopping at the desired counter and folding shopping basket to the bike. Surprisingly, nobody bothers anybody and nobody complains.
Here you will not be fined for speeding twice
Police in Cambodia could not be fined two times per day for violation of the same rules of the road. Exceeding the speed once and paying the fine, you will receive a receipt which can actually exceed the speed of the rest of the day.
They have a “bamboo” railway
Near the town of Battambang, in the West, there is a small section of single-track railroad, in which drive bamboo cars. Of course, they can hardly be called cars, they are more similar to platform. If two such vehicles meet, the passengers of one of them out, clean your car, miss counter, and then put the van on the rails and keep going.
They don’t use plastic cups
Street vendors in Cambodia instead of cups used… plastic bags. Here the suffering poured refreshing drinks with ice. As a mandatory accessory is attached to the tube.
On their wedding walks a few hundred people
Traditional Cambodian wedding is celebrated for three days. If the wedding takes place in the village, the celebration is open to all residents, without exception, otherwise it can offend people. As a rule, wedding in Cambodia a fun and very noisy, the number of guests can reach 200-300.
