According to the presentation, over the last 5 years in Ukraine have been repaired 2641 km of roads, or about 2% of the entire network. Most major roads have not been repaired for 35-40 years, and the last 30 years is ten times increased traffic, doubled the axial load. Thus, 95% of the roads were built in the Soviet Union under a load of 6 tons per axle.
As of June 20, for carrying out yamochny repair of roads was allocated to 1 401 million USD; the average repair 328 million USD. In this case, repair the road surface in recent years was not carried out.
“This year will have a significant breakthrough with the restoration of our roads compared to last years. In parallel and in cooperation with international organizations working on the medium-term strategy for the development of roads,” – wrote Vladimir Groisman.
