Co-owner of bankrupt Vneshprombank, the head of the Federation of bobsleigh and skeleton of Russia George Bedjamov declared in the international search. On Wednesday, March 16, reports “Interfax” citing a source familiar with the situation.
According to him, Begimova in absentia charged with fraud in especially large size (part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code). The consequence considers that the heads of financial institutions for the purpose of theft of monetary funds entered into loan agreements with their subordinate organizations, which then not pay them back.
According to media reports, after March 11, it was announced the bankruptcy of Vneshprombank, Bedjamov hastily left Russia.
According to the Central Bank, the Bank’s liabilities at the time of revocation of the license of January 21 amounted to 259,9 billion rubles, assets of 49.7 billion. Thus, the hole in the equity of financial institutions were estimated at 210 billion. The regulator refused the procedure of financial recovery of the organization because of the imbalance between assets and liabilities.
22 December the Bank of Russia introduced a moratorium on satisfaction of requirements of creditors of Vneshprombank. At the same time the Chairman of the management Board of a credit institution Larisa Markus was detained on suspicion of fraud.
