Chinese President XI Jinping met with President of Turkey Tayyip Erdogan, where the parties expressed their intention to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President XI Jinping ahead of the summit of “Big twenty” agreed to enhance cooperation in combating terrorism, said on Saturday Western media, citing the Chinese foreign Ministry.
“China hopes that both parties in cooperation can achieve more significant results in the fight against terrorism,” – said the President of China, quoted by the media.
In turn, R. Erdogan noted that “the fight against terrorism is a long-term problem,” as well as a long-term topic for discussion at the G20 summit.
The Turkish President also thanked China for assistance in maintaining stability and security in Turkey.”
