Stanislav Cherchesov named the new head coach of Russian national team.
The Russian football Union informs about signing a two-year contract with 52-years old Stanislav Cherchesov, who in addition to coaching the local team will include Gintaras Stauce, Miroslav Romashchenko and Vladimir Panikov.
On the coaching bench of the Russian team Cherchesov replaced the head coach of CSKA Leonid Slutsky, who left the team after a poor performance at Euro 2016 in group with England, Slovakia and Wales are ranked last).

Stanislav Cherchesov started his coaching career with 2004. The greatest success the former goalkeeper of Russia reached last season, leading Polish Legia he scored two goals in the domestic arena.
