Another peacekeeper was seriously injured.
The UN has said that five peacekeepers of the international mission in Mali were killed and one seriously wounded in an attack near the town of sévaré.
The victims arrived in Mali with the Fact. Their car came under fire, then blown up by a mine.
The Minister for foreign Affairs of Mali through social networks expressed condolences to the UN and the government.
Note, the attack took place 29 may – international day of UN peacekeepers.
Last year 129 UN peacekeepers were killed during peacekeeping operations in 16 countries.
