British MP: the Alliance between Ankara and Brussels would be a disaster
Possible the Alliance between Ankara and Brussels is catastrophic. This opinion was expressed by MP from the ruling Conservative party of great Britain David Davis in a letter to the Prime Minister David Cameron.
Davis is a campaign to support British exit from the EU. According to him, visa-free regime with Turkey in the framework of the Schengen agreement will open access to the extremists in Europe.
“The Erdogan administration is moving in a dangerous direction, using political Islam that is incompatible with the values of Western democracy. The relationship between some members of the Turkish government and Islamists in Syria, as well as the unreliable border between these two countries suggest that the possible establishment of a visa-free regime within the Schengen agreement will open access to the extremists in Europe. Britain should not blindly walk into it. The consequences can be catastrophic and irreversible”, — TASS quoted the British conservative.
Since the end of last year, Turkey began to dictate their demands to the EU in exchange for the suspension of migration flows to Europe. In addition to the abolition of visas for Turkish citizens and negotiations on Turkey’s accession to the EU, Erdogan recently raised the issue of the allocation of six billion euros at the reception. This is despite the fact that earlier the EU has already agreed to provide Turkey with three billion euros for this purpose.
