In Paris, BMW will present a concept of the X2, but the production version of the crossover will appear soon after him.
At the upcoming Paris motor show, 2016 BMW presents a new compact crossover X2, which will compete with the Range Rover Evoque.
The new BMW X2 will be 6-m crossover in the line of the German premium brand. It will be a more sporty alternative to the X1, like his older “brother” X4 and X6 is fulfilling the same role for the X3 and X5, respectively.
The model will be built on the UKL platform that also underpins the BMW X1 and Mini Countryman. The range of engines will include petrol and diesel engines. It is expected that among them will be the 2.0-liter petrol power unit capacity of 192 horsepower, and a 2.0-liter diesel engine, available in several versions. Companions to them, BMW will offer a 6-speed manual transmission and 6-speed “automatic”.
In Paris, the German automaker will introduce a concept version, but the serial is not long to wait. It is expected that it will hit the market in the second half of 2017. Its estimated cost will be $38.9 thousand dollars. The main competitor to the BMW X2 will become the Range Rover Evoque.
