In June, representatives of Bethesda at E3 2016 announced that this fall on PC, PS4 and Xbox One will be released an updated version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
Some players might question why the company decided to release exactly the fifth part of the series, not the fourth — The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
And now Pete Hines, head of marketing Department Bethesda, clarified the situation.
“Oblivion came out ten years ago. To create an updated version of this game, you need to spend a lot of time refining the graphics engine and the solution of technical problems. In fact, it will be a new game not an updated version of the old. Therefore, we undertook the update of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim — the most successful of our game before the release of Fallout 4,” explained Hines.
Recall that the re-release of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim with improved graphics will be available on October 28.
