Australian surfer killed in a shark attack in New Caledonia, Australia, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.
50-year-old man was kite surfing on one of the beaches. After falling into the water the shark attacked him. The man suffered serious hip injury. A rescue boat took him to the nearest port, where he arrived by ambulance, but from the received traumas he has died.
According to witnesses, the attacking shark was very large, however, to establish a specific kind of failed. It is noted that a similar case of attacks on surfers has become the third in New Caledonia this year, but previous two were not fatal for the victims.
