Audi plans to release an electric version of the Q5

Audi планирует выпускать электрическую версию Q5

Last year, German automaker Audi announced the creation of the first electric SUV the company’s e-Tron Quatro, which will be located in the range between Q5 and Q7. Now it became known that Audi plans to create an electric version of the Q5 that will be produced at the new plant in Mexico.

At the moment, the Audi Q5 is made in Ingolstadt, Germany (home town of the company of Audi) and from there exported all over the world. Audi recently built a new factory in Mexico for $1.3 billion, which is planned to move production of the model Q5. The plant will produce about 150,000 cars a year.

Now it became known that Audi is looking for professionals to create an electric version of the famous car. Unfortunately, the source did not specify whether this version is a fully electric or hybrid car. However, considering the plans of Volkswagen for the production of 30 new electric cars by 2025, most likely, the new Audi Q5 will be one of the first electric cars of the company.
