The investigation began in 2015 after the arrest of 28-year-old Russian citizen of Chechen origin. According to investigators, he was planning to join Syria to the terrorist organization Islamic state, said the Russian service of DW.

The result of the antiterrorist operation detained 13 citizens of Russia: 10 men and three women. All of them – the refugees from Chechnya.
