Asad felt in the air the smell of a Third world war

According to him, currently the main source of the problem is terrorism. He added that the current situation on the world stage similar to the “cold war in the development stage”.

“We see the escalation of the conflict, but the main goal (USA) – to retain American hegemony over the world, not to allow anyone to be a partner in the political or international arena, be it Russia or even its allies in the West. So that’s the smell of war, which you describe as the Third world war, felt in the air, but this is not a direct military confrontation,” – said Assad.

He also stressed that Russia, Iran and Hezbollah, his constant allies on the “legal basis” and there are other countries that, according to Assad, “interfering with the purpose of supporting the terrorists.”

Recall that Aleppo is now partly controlled by rebels. The army of President Bashar al-Assad, with Russian support, deals of the bombing in Aleppo, human rights activists say about the numerous victims. The USA and several countries condemned these actions by Assad and Moscow. Negotiations between the U.S. and Russia on Syria was actually frozen.
