Apple has to pay in Ireland, to a fine of 13 billion euros.
The European Commission has ordered Ireland to recover from Apple’s 13 billion euros in tax debts.
Previously, the EU has recognized Apple received illegal preferences. The investigation lasted three years.
According to the EU legislation, national governments can provide tax incentives to individual companies. In the EU it is treated as illegal state aid.
It is expected that Apple and the Irish government appeal against this decision.
