Prices for cars in Russia has grown for a year and a half at 35 percent. These are the data of the analytical Agency “AUTOSTAT”. The main cause of this trend is the growth of courses of the dollar and the Euro against the ruble, inflation, and rising production costs. Obviously, all these factors are interrelated.
By calculations of analysts, the most significant increase in prices happened in the period from December 2014 to April 2015 – at 21 percent. Another 10 percentage points of the machine has risen for six months from September 2015. If you talk about specific months, in a real shock motorists could plunge January of last year, when prices jumped immediately at 7.7 percent. At the same time, from may until the beginning of autumn recorded a decline of 0.9 percent.
Unfortunately, analysts believe that rising prices will continue. As explained by Director of “AUTOSTAT” Sergey Tselikov, the cost of almost all cars in Russia has a monetary component. Even the cars that are produced in factories in our country, according to the expert, regardless of the dollar and the Euro by 30-70 percent. So the end of the year the prices of new cars could rise by 10-20 per cent. According to Sergey Tselikov, everything will depend on how “to behave, the ruble exchange rate will change and how the purchasing power of the population.”
Earlier “Avtostat” reported that in the period from 20 January to 20 February, the prices for cars, 30 brands, and the next decade – on car for another eight brands. Meanwhile, January was the most successful month for the Russian car industry over the last year.
