The vacancy rate in the Metropolitan office market in the second quarter of 2016 reached 18 percent, an increase over the three months of 0.6 per cent. This is evidenced by the materials published by the Russian division of the consulting company CBRE.

Experts of the research Department of CBRE, noted that the increase in the share of vacant offices due to the commissioning of new office buildings. According to the company, in the second quarter of the year in Moscow was introduced about 100 thousand square meters of offices.

In the second half of 2016, according to analysts at CBRE, the capital will be built about 340 thousand square meters of office space.

At the end of March 2016, the experts of NAI Becar called the offices of “lame ducks” of the commercial real estate market of Moscow and St. Petersburg. According to them, during the year, the volume of office space in the two capitals fell by 35 percent, while rental rates in the segment decreased by five percent.
